Surgery went smoothly yesterday. Tissue has been sent to pathology, but my surgeon thinks it is hyperplasia. That is the best possible scenario for me because that means the gland was active and contributing to the myasthenia and therefore getting rid of it would help. We will know path results for sure in a few days. I am in my hospital bed now waiting to go to x-ray for a final shot of my chest. The chest tube has been removed so I can draw a breath without pain.
Barring something going wrong, I am being discharged this afternoon - hallelujah! I am ready to go home and go to sleep because hospitals aren't really conducive to rest. And I need some.
I'm just astonished that you are coherent enough to post.
